Today I watched a video about materialism and what it does to the environment. Recycling won't help, ways need to be changed in the way things are made. It made me appreciate how much I like secondhand and vintage clothing, and how don't like to buy lots of new things.
People buy so many things they don't need, and throw out so many other things, that it is a dead end cycle that is terribly wasteful and will only worsen as time goes on.
It made me think, "People take advantage of so many things."
And don't get me wrong, I know I do too. But if things continue this way, it won't be like this forever.
