My father's parents have been married for sixty years. They lived in the same house for about forty years. My gran is one of the most amazing people I know. She had five children, and raised them all well. She has kept almost everything she's ever owned. She gave me an incredible dress that she made herself in the fifties. She's a wonderful seamstress, she plays piano well, she's an excellent cook, and she's eighty-six.
I was born on their forty-fifth anniversary, and I don't think I have ever appreciated them enough until now.
