We breathe, and we sleep, and we grow. We dream of the future, we reminisce on the past. We smile and laugh and break our bones and cry. We stitch up wounds, we backpedal, we undo buttons and sometimes break a heart or two. We use perfume, and smoke cigarettes, and waste paper. We spend our money on things that are ephemeral, and we throw away the packaging to be buried in the cold, hard earth. We teach morals, we become bad influences, and we take photographs of it all. We drink water, we drink wine, some drink turpentine, and yet we are all made the same way. We speak many, many languages, and we communicate by satellite, and yet, we are all the same. We are human.
